Life University Leadership Weekend - Anali Milan
My name is Anali Milian, and this year I had the privilege of participating in a field trip to Atlanta, Georgia. It was a wonderful experience, and many memories were made. We, the students, had to raise the money for this trip, so we organized various fundraisers, such as selling raffle tickets, tamales, and donuts, as well as hosting a car wash and a car show. During this time, I got to know the other FHLA members better, and we all grew close and created a strong bond.
The first destination of our trip was Life University, located in Marietta, GA. The university's team was kind and very welcoming. We enjoyed a lot of food and heard from great speakers who shared their stories and how they achieved their current success. We toured the campus, which was outstanding but involved a lot of walking. I would like to thank Rick, Yolanda, Yuki, Hugo, Luis, and Dr. Del Hoyo for this amazing opportunity. The speakers were truly motivating and opened my eyes to the many options available for a fulfilling career.
Our second destination was the aquarium, which is reportedly the largest in Atlanta, Georgia. Although there was a lot of walking involved to reach different sections, everything was memorable. It was my first time seeing a beluga whale, and I made sure to take plenty of videos. The stingrays were huge, as were the starfish and seahorses. After the aquarium, we returned to Life University for lunch and to participate in some fun activities. These activities had a significant impact on me, giving me a new perspective on life. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my life, but now I have a clear plan for success. The food at Life University was immaculate, with many options to choose from, and everything was incredible.
In conclusion, Iām very grateful to have participated in this trip and thankful to everyone who made it possible. I highly recommend joining FHLA and seizing opportunities like these because you never know what the outcome may be. This trip was breathtaking and truly an unforgettable experience. Thank you!
