Life University Leadership Weekend - Daretzy Contreras
Hello, my name is Daretzy Contreras, and I was one of the many individuals who had the chance to participate in the trip to Atlanta, Georgia. I had a great time and made many unforgettable memories. This trip taught me that I should explore my options and gain new perspectives. It’s incredible to say that I had the privilege to meet the president of Life University, Dr. Robert Scott.
I want to thank the advisors for making this possible: Rick, Yolanda, Yuki, Hugo, Luis, and Dr. Del Hoyo, who invited us for this Leadership Weekend. Our first location was Life University, and it was fascinating. I met many chiropractors who shared their stories and how they achieved their goals. Hearing their stories motivated me to achieve greater things. If I really want something, I should go through with it.
We took a tour of their campus, which is truly huge and phenomenal. I met many great individuals from all over the world, including Canada, Sweden, and Kenya. On our second day, we went to Atlanta's biggest aquarium. It was unlike anything I’ve seen before, with many different kinds of fish I didn’t even know existed. My favorite part was visiting the gift shops and seeing the dolphins and turtles.
After the aquarium, we headed back to Life University, where we had lots of fun activities. Each activity had a lesson, and I will carry those lessons with me throughout my life. It was a great experience, and bonding with the rest of the team was wonderful. Life University has much to offer, and I hope that anyone interested in becoming a chiropractor or pursuing a career in the medical field considers Life University. Everyone there was friendly and very helpful.
In conclusion, I had a fantastic experience on this trip. I would like to thank everyone who made this possible for me and the other students. I hope everyone joins FHLA and participates in these types of trips because they are truly life-changing. Thank you for this great opportunity that I will never forget!
