Life University Leadership Weekend - Angel Garcia

Hello, my name is Angel Garcia. I am a student at Weiser High School and was selected this year to attend the leadership conference in Atlanta, Georgia. First of all, I would like to thank four people for dedicating their time to making this possible: Rick Godina, Yuki Longest, Hugo Mendoza, and Yolanda Ramirez. Their great support and commitment were instrumental for the 11 members chosen for the trip to Atlanta.

I would also like to thank Luis Caloca for inviting us to the leadership conference and Dr. Javier del Hoyo for recommending us and being considered by Life University to attend their conference.

The first day of Leadership Week featured several speeches from different chiropractors, including the president of Life University. They spoke about their journeys, the obstacles they overcame, and the importance of chiropractic practice. They also shared advice for those beginning their path in chiropractic.

The second day was definitely one of my favorites. I had the great opportunity to visit one of the largest aquariums in Georgia. I enjoyed seeing the diverse species of marine animals housed there. We had two hours to tour the aquarium, and I had a fantastic time with the other FHLA members. I saw a whale shark, dolphins, seahorses, and many other species I never thought I would see. It was an incredible experience, made possible by Life University.

The last day of Leadership Week was my favorite. I had the chance to participate in various activities outside the Life University campus. One activity that I particularly enjoyed involved being blindfolded and finding our way or an exit. Another favorite was a game called "Witch or Clock." I had a great time participating in these activities.

Overall, it was a fantastic week where I learned a lot and interacted with new people. It was a valuable experience to learn more about chiropractic and the paths people took to achieve their goals. I also took advice from new acquaintances, and the most important takeaway was meeting new FHLA members who are now friends. I would like to thank them for making Leadership Week enjoyable and for allowing me to get to know them. It was a memorable experience that I will cherish. Thank you, FHLA.
